Biography: Walter Ledoux Hunt Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018 a the young age of 80.
 
Walter was born on November 27, 1937 in New York City. He was the first son of the late Walter Hunt Sr. and Creola Hunt.
 
He attended St. Aloysius Primary School from first to eighth grade and then attended and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School.
 
Walter enlisted in the United States Air Forces where he served his country for many years until his discharge in September 1990. While serving his country, Walter also joined the New York Transit Police Department where he served for over 30 years from 1964 to 1995 when he retired.
 
Walter leaves behind a loving and cherished wife, Irene Hunt; a wonderful son, Gregory Hunt and daughter-in-law, Romualda Hun; a caring and loving daughter, Deborah Rodgers and son-in-law, Anthony Rodgers; two loving sisters, Laura (Cheechee) Hunt and Michelle McClary; a wonderful and devoted brother, William (Billy) Hunt.
 
Walter was a devoted grandfather of seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a caring and loving uncle to a hose of nieces and nephews. He also had a variety of friends that he called his extended family that he loved and cherished.

I knew Walter Hunt from working with him on the NYC transit police. Walter was always cheerful and
had a good disposition. We worked in DIst. 3.We were all young then and had some good times together.I know that Walter will be missed by those who knew him. I Wish the family love and much
happiness.
