Biography: On August 17, 2018, the angels of mercy visited Mr. Henry Davis in the Bronx Veterans Hospital and called him home.
 
The son of the late Asberry and Ethel Davis, he was born in Manhattan, New York on December 21, 1951. Henry attended Brandeis High School and later went to Fordham University. He enlisted in the Army in September 16, 1974 and received an honorable discharge.
 
He attended The Chapel Church of Christ, where he met and later married his wife, Rachel. During their union they had two daughters: Andrea and Michelle.
 
Henry was a very intelligent man! He was able to hold careers in many diverse fields. He worked as a mechanic, legal analyst, an MTA conductor and later on in his life, he worked for the Department of Aging; a job he loved and highly enjoyed doing.
 
Henry was always there when you needed him. He was dependable, smart and had a great sense of humor. He was a loner, but he often enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He loved sports, baseball especially and he also had a fondness for Westerns.
 
Henry leaves to cherish his memories: daughters Andrea and Michelle; granddaughter Maajida; siblings: Son, Johnny, Carol and Ethel Mae; sister-in-law, Gert and brother-in-law, Benny; nieces: Sheila, Madelin and Royasia; nephews: Johnny Jr., Timothy, Antione, Darnell and Malcolm; his fourteen grandnieces and nephews, one great-grandnephew and a host of other family and friends.
 
Henry, take your rest in the loving arms of Jesus. We will miss you but the memories of you will stay in our hearts and minds, which will always keep your spirit alive.
