Biography: Robert Louis Smith was born in Whitmire, South Carolina to the proud parents of the late Sarah and William Smith on January 14, 1942. Robert was the youngest of six children.
 
Robert was educated in the South Carolina School System. He graduated high school in Whitmire, South Carolina. Robert worked for 7-Up as a driver until her retired.
 
Robert loved to dance, loved soul food and was a sharp dresser. He loved his family and people in general. He loved to travel specially to Atlantic City.
 
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, William and Lester Smith, his sisters, Susie Mae Daniels and Thelma Brown.
 
Robert leaves to cherish his memory: one brother, Charles E. Smith; five nephews: Curtis, Jeter (Lillian), Douglas Jeter (Ana), Tallie Jetter III, Terrell Daniels (Dominique) and Shannon Smith (Alashia); five nieces: Sarah Ann, Robin, Deborah, Kathy and Patricia; cousins: Tina Alexander, Royal Sartor and James Sartor; his beloved friend/partner, Ethel Taylor; her daughter, Shontaine and her granddaughters, Latece and Nayasia; her great-grandbaby, Brianna; along with a host of great nieces and nephews, great great-nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews and friends.
