Biography: Anthony Alphonso Aaron, Tony, to family and close friends, was born on February 16, 1954 in Harlem Hospital, New York City to Augustin Aaron and Theresita Armstrong Aaron.
 
When he was still a toddler he moved with his family to Brooklyn. Even as a young child Anthony would be gone from home for long hours exploring the many corners of South Brooklyn. And when he returned home he would talk about all the things he saw on his long walking expeditions to Sheepshead Bay, Manhattan Beach, Plum Beach and Coney Island --- sometimes all in one day during the summers. The trips to Coney Island might include a ride on the Cyclone and definitely a stop for hot dogs at Nathan’s famous. On Wednesdays he wouldn’t get home until after the fireworks at Coney Island.
 
Anthony attended Resurrection Grammar School and Sheepshead Bay High School from which he obtained his high school diploma.

Demonstrating a high intelligence throughout his life, Anthony loved reading books, doing crossword puzzles, watching funny movies and laughing at comedy. He was a familiar figure in his Sheepshead Bay neighborhood, usually with his nose buried in a book or magazine. He spent hours at the local neighborhood branch of the Brooklyn Public Library and also frequented specialty libraries in the city like the one at Lincoln Center.  He worked all over New York City as a messenger for many years. It was a job he loved. He had a unique personality, he led a quiet life and he will be missed. 
 
The youngest of four brothers, Anthony has one sister born after him. He is predeceased by his eldest brother Orlando Aaron.  He is survived by brothers: Lawrence Aaron and Michael Aaron; sisters: Susan (Aaron) Groeneveldt and Mary Aaron Isaac. In addition to his siblings, he leaves behind nephews: Joshua Groeneveldt, Jordan Aaron and Tyler Aaron and nieces: Monique Mitchell, Lea Groeneveldt, Fiona (Aaron) Thompson and Tamara Groeneveldt; along with many cousins, relatives and friends who loved him.
