Biography: Horace McNeal Jr. was born July 22. 1939 in Clayton, Alabama to Horace McNeal Sr. and Mae Ella Thomas.
 
In 1960 Horace married Johnnie Mae Austin and from this union four children were born. In 1968, Horace and Johnnie Mae relocated to New York City. While in New York City Horace worked at Metropolitan Hospital serving for over thirty years.
 
Horace was a devoted father. He enjoyed fishing, drawing and he loved watching sports.
 
Horace leaves behind to mourn: his wife, Johnnie Mae McNeal; his sisters: Betty Jean, Odessa Bessie Mae, Louise and Jeanette; his brothers: Willie McNeal, Johnny Bee,  Love Otis and Joseph. He also leaves behind four children: Horace McNeal III, Jacqueline McNeal, Gloria McNeal and Nicole McNeal; his grandchildren: Tammy, Latasha, Christopher, Korey and Dante; his three great-grandchildren: Autumn, Ashanti and August; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
