Willamay Patricia Annis

05-24-1939 - 09-29-2018

Biography: Willamay Patricia Annis was born on May 24, 1939 in New York to the proud parents of Herbert L. Miller Sr. and
Eleta Wray-Miller.  Willamay aka “Poochie” was the second of four children.  In 1945 she attended St. Thomas the Apostle
Elementary School in Harlem and later graduated in 1958 from Cathedral High School in Manhattan.  While in High School she met the love of her life Naim A. Azim (Vernon) and they wed in 1961.  From this marital union Willie gave birth to Timothy and inherited a son Lovell.

Willie went on to work as an Operations Assistant at the brokerage, investment management and investment banking firm of Paine Webber.  Willamay worked at Paine Webber for over 40 years and was a valuable and loved employee.

Willamay enjoyed traveling, so any time she could she did.  Willie loved to cook and her special rice and peas with oxtails was loved by all.  If you never had her rice and peas you have definitely missed the best culinary experience.  But most of all Willie loved all of her family.  Her husband, sons and grandchildren bought her the most joy.

Willie touched many lives and will be missed.  She leaves to mourn her passing: her loving husband Naim A. Azim (Vernon); Son Timothy A. Annis; Step-Son Lovell  A. Annis; Sister, Norma V. Miller; Sisters-in-Law: Lydia Miller and Dolores Miller; grandchildren: Timothy Jr., Andre, Harmeen, Coree, Justin, Lovell Jr. and Simone; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
