Biography: Orrainnia P. Griffin who we affectionately called “Rainey” departed this life on January 23, 2018.  She was born in Harlem, New York on May 6, 1962, to the late Russell and Florence Griffin.
 
She was educated in the New York City School System, where she graduated from Satellite Academy.  She later attended Nursing School and then went into her career of Private Child Care Provider.
 
Rainey, a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend, was a warm, nurturing and caring person whose quick wit blanketed her direct nature. Rainey was adored for these traits, which she used in her personal and professional life. She considered her client's children to be her own children and they all loved her dearly.  The children rarely wanted to leave her and often talked their parents into   allowing them to either stay longer or even spend the night with her. Which she happily obliged! Her loving nature didn’t only have an effect on children; it extended to her colleagues, neighbors, and friends (young and old) alike.
 
Rainey is survived by; her children, Shiborne, Devin, Brittany & Andria; sisters, Lisa and Sandra; brothers, Richard, Nathaniel, Russell & Darius; beautiful grandchildren, Madelyn & Arianna; nephews, Mark & Anthony; As well as a host of loved ones. She will truly be missed!
