Biography: Carrine Denise Johnson  Dixon (affectionately called Tweety by family) was born to the late Ruby and late Clinton Johnson on October 30, 1952. Her siblings Garland and Willie T. (Junior) preceded her in death.

Carrinne was raised in the Bronx. She received her early education in the New York Public School System. She attended Evander Childs High School and studied at York College and City University of New York. Carrinne attended Catholic Church in her earlier years and she continued her Christian journey worshipping at various churches as an adult.

Carrinne marred her longtime companion Calvin Dixon in 2002.

She worked for the Lexington Children’s Center as an Assistant Teacher for many years and was later employed by the New York City Health and Hospital and Hospital Corporation until she retired. 

Carrinne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was fun-loving, witty, loved family and loved to cook. She departed this life on November 10, 2018 after being homebound battling illness for many years.

Carrinne leaves to mourn: her husband, Calvin; two sons, Garland and Theron (Malcolm); grandchildren: Keilan, Zoe, Devon-Larae and Ayanna; aunt, Mary F. Barry (Aunt Flo); uncle, Clarence Duncan; niece, Jahvita; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
