Biography: Gerald Wright, the youngest of three children born to Ruby Dukes and King David Wright. Gerald was born on February 25, 1967 in Jacksonville, Florida. Gerald received his education in the New York City Public School System. Gerald was a very loving and cheerful person. He was known to be the glue that held this family together. He would take the time to talk to you about any issues he could help you with. He was always willing to share plenty of helpful advice.

Gerald lit up every room he walked into. He always brought life to others, family events and social events. He touched everyone's heart that crossed his path with his distinct laughter and joy. He was one of the most generous souls you’d ever met. Gerald leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Ruby Dukes and King David Wright; two children: Devinair Maloney and Lakiem Williams; five sisters: Charlease (Sand) Wright, Tarakara (Tara) Williams, Gloria Gibson, Wilett Perez-Ortiz and Tiffany Prince; brother-in-law, Miguel Perez-Ortiz; six brothers: David (Coco) Wright, David (Andre) Cobb, Kaven Wright, Kyran Wright, Lester Gibson and Mannie Gibson; one aunt, Patricia Wright; one great-aunt, Willmene Summers; two uncles, James Thrower and Gerald (Barn) Wright; two grandchildren, Aiden and Apollo; twenty-five nieces and nephews: Shaquana, Diamond, Clarisa, Keyanna, Diamonique, Giavanna, Cassandra, Daniele, Nijah, Aisha, Stanaisha, Darlene, Lorenzo, Kaleek, Sharif, Steven, Tyrell, Hakeem, Justin, Jermaine, Davion, Kaven Jr., Carnail  and Dakari; thirteen great-nieces and nephews: Anthony (AJ), Dyjae, Jason, Malaysia, Kayla, Danaj, Kaiani, Kyrie, Kayden, Camryn, Jahiem, Kamaiyah and Emanuel. Gerald also leaves behind a host of other cousins, relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
