Biography: Pernell Darnell Cooke, affectionately known as Pun, was born December 28, 1983 in the Bronx, New York to Darnell Bennett and Tylaina Cooke. He was called home on January 12, 2019. Pun was not ready to come into this world because; he stayed in his mother’s womb until he was forced out at 10 months. Once he entered the world he was a pleasant baby who always smiled and never gave any problems.
Pun was the oldest of his mother’s four children and made it known his family was first. He matured into a wonderful man with a heart of gold!! His large frame tells the story of his huge heart and childlike spirit. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with, touched many lives and will surely be missed.
Pun attended elementary school and Monroe High School in the Bronx. His first job was mentoring children at the PAL. He also worked as a Cook at Panera Bread, but his passion was working for Security at Night Clubs. He loved fishing with his boys, playing video games and smoking blunts.
Pun is survived by: his Mother Tylaina Cooke, Father Darnell Bennett, Brothers Tyreick and Tyleike, Sister Regel, Niece Peyton, Nephew Zion, Grandmother Johnnette Edge Duke, Aunt Serena Matthews, Cousins Milton, Jonathan, Kashif, Shafr’ and Ptah. Stepdaughter, Destiny, God Mother Jewel, God Sister Deveah, Mothers Best Friend Aunt Camille, Katrina Clarke who he called his very best friend, sister and cousin and a host of cousins, close family and friends.
During his transition he was surely reunited with his daughter Egypt, Aunt Kesha and Uncle JR to begin his next assignment.
