Sydney Solomon

12-30-1925 - 01-19-2019

Biography: Sydney was born on December 30, 1925 to Duke and Agnes Solomon and migrated to the United States from Trinidad in the seventies.

He was the husband of Joycelyn Solomon and partner of the late Sarah Miller.

In addition, he was the father of Rawlins, Joan, Allan, Curtis, Debra, Roselind, Wendy and Marceline, grandfather of twenty-four (24), great grandfather of fifteen (15), father-in-law of Angela, Paul, Ronnie, Devon, the late Sylvan, Urceline and Engie, brother of Gladys, Isabel, Cyril, Solomé , Ivy  and Ruby, Uncle of more than fifty (50) and relative of The Solomon, Cadore, Tannis families and Others.

Sydney was always the life of the party with a wicked sense of humor, which endeared him to everyone he came into contact with.  In addition, he loved to dance, travel and was very adventurous, always willing to try new things and anyone who had the opportunity to meet him, was always introduced to the hand shake trick.

He was also very disciplined with everything he did especially his diet (two meals a day - Breakfast and dinner) no exceptions.

Sydney lived a long and happy life and had a very close and special bond with his son Allan who he lived with for the past eight years.  In the end (at age 93), although he battled with severe Alzheimer's, the two individuals he always remembered were his son Allan and wife Joycelyn.  Gone but not forgotten, his spirit will be kept alive in our hearts and memories.

Sydney was preceded in death by his partner, Sarah Miller; siblings: Mable, Della and Cecil.

My prayers, thoughts, and heart are with Sydney's family and friends. Revelation 21:3, 4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
