Biography: Connie Rene Smalls was born on September 3, 1960 in the Bronx, New York to Joe Louis Smalls and Vivian Myers Smalls, both of whom preceded her in death.
 
After a bout of illness, Connie departed this life after the holidays on January 22, 2019 peacefully at her home.
 
Connie graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1978. She then did a lot of odd jobs until she moved to South Carolina and became a home healthcare assistant which she enjoyed.
 
Connie leaves to cherish her memories: her sister, Patty Smalls Jimerson; brother-in-law, Andre; children: Jamie Mitchell Lawrence (Nikki), Christopher Smalls (Wydia), Alicia Smalls and Alexander Smalls (Jas’mika); grandchildren: Fasyiah, Ishmael, Maliyah, Daiona, Myiah, Xavier, Leilani, Aidan, Trinity, Brejanay, Ahzavion and Ahzirah; niece, Angel Jimerson Green (Jason); great-niece, Brooklyn JeTaime; and a host of other relatives.
