Biography: Rodney Eugene “Butch” Bailey was born March 26, 1949, in Harlem Hospital.  He was the first-born son to Isaac Eugene Bailey and to the late Sadie Scott Bailey.  Butch matriculated through the New York City School system.  At an early age, his father gathered neighborhood kids and took them to work upstate to wash cars.  That’s where he first learned his work ethics.  Through his mother he learned faith in God.
 
At a young age Butch worked for Cablevision in Queens. Butch was an Urologist Tech at a methadone clinic in Queens as well as holding several other jobs in New York City.  His final employment was with Allied Barton as a Security Officer in the Bronx Court House.
 
During his last employment, Butch’s health began to fail. On Monday, March 4, 2019, Butch made his transition.
 
Butch was proceeded in death by his Daughter, Shona Charisse Bailey; his Mother, Sadie Scott Bailey; his Brother, Tyrone ‘Ty’ Bailey and his nephew Tyrone ‘Lil Ty’ Speller.
 
Butch leaves to mourn his death, his father, Isaac Eugene Bailey of New York City; sons: Troy Eugene Bailey of Washington, D.C., Rodney Eugene Bailey, Jr. of New York City, Malcolm George of New Jersey; daughter: Desiree George of New Jersey; brothers: Stanley Bailey of New York City, Carver Bailey of New York City and Kenneth Bailey of Minneola, Florida; sisters: Carrie Scott of New York City, Desiree Bailey of New York City, Rebecca Kim Bailey of New York City and Marie Bailey of New York City; grandchildren: Jiareh George (Desiree George); Troy Bailey and Tyese Tyler (Troy E. Bailey).
 
Butch also had a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and LIFE-LONG friends too many to name, but you all know how much he cherished your love and devotion throughout his life – irreplaceable
