Biography: Thomas Scenar was born on September 21, 1951 to the late Delilah Strong and Thomas Sr. McCullough. She was such a loving and caring person who loved to be loved. She had such a beautiful smile that would brighten up any room. But she would surely put one in their place when needed. She received her education through the New York City Public School System.
Her lifelong residence consisted of Harlem, Sugar Hill and Washington Heights.
For you are with me...in trials that affected family, friends, and all those in Thomas S. McCullough’s life God was FAITHFULLY there.
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me...Thomas Scenar worked several years as a Home Health Aide and retired in 2001. At home she made a great sacrifice along with her son Wayne to address her own needs and do what was right.
God, you prepared a table before me on March 15, 2019 in the presence of mine enemies. Thomas Scenar had great hope in the attributes of love and respect for her son and many others. She loved her family and friends whole-heartedly. She did not let her illness extinguish her spirit or zest for life.
Thomas Scenar never gave up on God. She was called into the bosom of the father on March 15, 2019 after being hospitalized at Columbia Presbyterian in New York City.
Thomas Scenar is preceded in death by both parents Ms. Delilah Strong and Thomas Sr. McCullough, and sister, Gail Meachem.
Thomas is survived by her wonderful son Wayne McCullough and sister Beverly McCullough, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, a longtime friend, god-children and a host of extended family and friends that shall hold onto her fond memories she leaves behind.
