Biography: Edward McCain was born in Harlem, New York on May 16, 1944 to the late Margaret Hartman and Edward McCain.
Edward was raised in Arkansas by his mother and grandmother. He attended grade school through high school in Arkansas. Edward returned to Brooklyn, New York with his mother as a young adult. While residing in Brooklyn, he met and married Agnes Smallwood in 1964. He was employed as a manager at Chock Full Of Nuts Corporation.

Edward was a very soft spoken man with a heart of gold. He was kind loving, active and always on the go. He had an eye for fashion and loved to dress very stylish.

Later in life, Edward became sick and spent his last years at Oxford Nursing Home in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this earthly life on March 13, 2019.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories: ex-wife Agnes Smallwood; two daughters and a son: Valerie McCain of Brooklyn, New York, Sophie McCain of Brooklyn, New York and Eric McCain of New York, New York; four grandchildren: Kharl Espert, Chavonne Kenly, Karlisha Ezell and Joshua Hill; two great-grandchildren: Angel Garcia and Emmanuel McCain; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
