Diana Swan

04-13-1944 - 04-06-2019

Biography: On April 13, 1944, Diana Swan was born at Harlem Hospital Medical Center to the proud parents of Ellsworth Swan and Vernice Lewis. Diana was the second oldest of five children.

While residing in New York, Diana attended the New York City Department of Education School System and graduated with a high school diploma at Charles Evans Hughes High School. After graduating, Diana was hired as a bookkeeper for The Internal Revenue Service. She also worked for the New York City Transit Authority and, also some years at Harlem Hospital Medical Center.

During her years of becoming a woman, she also became a mother of one daughter, Deborah H. Swan.

Diana enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She also loved cooking. But the main thing she loved the most was food shopping and dancing; and she has instilled that in her daughter.  Deborah went to school for dance until she found out she was having her own little dancer while performing The Wizard of Oz. And the dancing is still being passed on.

Diana touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her daughter, Deborah H. Swan; granddaughter, Yeisha Swan; great-grandson, Dennis Swan; one younger brother, Tony Swan Sr.; one younger sister, Maria Swan; two nieces: Chauntae Y. Swan and Roslyn Swan; three nephews: Tony Swan Jr., Shem Swan and Durrell Swan; and a host of great-grand nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Even though Diana is gone from this earthly vessel, she will forever have a special place in our hearts.

Playfully Submitted With Love,
