Biography: Our beloved brother Desmand Charles Tillery was a son of Janice Tillery and Ray Tillery. He was the brother to eight siblings. Desmand was a hardworking, intelligent, goal-seeking, loving and devoted man. He loved his big family. He loved our mother so dearly he would always say great things about mommy.

Desmand always said when he got rich he would buy mommy a house. He brought us lots of laughs and always, politely brightened our day. Desmand had an amazing support system and was an outstanding beloved friend. He was liked so much by others; people were drawn to his fun and goofy personality.

Desmand worked hard to get his CDL license and to achieve his goals. He was an active construction worker when he passed. Desmand loved to help any and every one. He was passionate about others and always put them before himself. He impacted so many people’s lives.

Our Brother was very giving and grateful and he was definitely a man of God. Desmand’s favorite quotes were “God bless you young man/young women or little baby”. My most favorite was when he would say with excitement “AYE Girl!” Something he would always say full of encouragement to his little nieces and nephews. The love he had for all children was inspiring to us all. He always prayed before and after anything he did and he had a heart so pure it was a heart of gold.

He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, godson, friend and coworker who will truly be missed.

Weep Not For Me
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
