Biography: Judy Carmilla Watson, lovingly known as “Miller”, was born in Kersaw, South Carolina on Sunday, May 9, 1937 to the late Berlin Watson and James Beckham. She was the first of two children born of that union. She started her journey home on July 26, 2019.
Judy went to Julia Ward Howe Junior High School and went on to George Washington High School where she graduated in 1957.
Judy began her work career at Stein & Kloters Shoe Factory. She later started a new career as a home health aide until she retired.
Judy loved to dance. She also loved old-school music, cooking, being around her faminy and helping people.
Judy’s sister Grace Watson, her daughter Penelope Harris and her companion Harold “Brother” Stanley preceded her in passing.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her devoted daughter Kim Washington (Derrick); nine loving grandchildren: Shannon Harris, Sequan Harris, Krystal Bennett, Dominique Brice, Khiry Bennett, Derrick Bennett, Sinian Hinds, Jade Washington, Timothy Washington; sister, Mae Hilton; thirteen great-grandchildren, four nephews, two nieces and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
