Biography: Roy Edgar Carr was born to Roy Carr and Mattie Lou Ricks in Brooklyn, NY on March 13, 1952.  He was the second of four children.  Roy graduated from DeWitt   Clinton High School in 1970 and went on to further his education at Herbert H. Lehman College until 1972 when he enlisted in the US Army.  He honorably served in the US Army until 1978.
 
In December 1976, Roy met and fell in love with Patrica Coard. Roy and Patrica were joined in holy matrimony on August 5, 1978.
 
Roy worked in Real Estate for over 25 years.  In the 1980’s he began working for Grenadier Realty as a   property manager and in 1984 he was promoted to Vice President.  He served as Vice President of Grenadier Realty until he became ill in 1997.  He later returned to work for a few years, but his illness would not allow him to continue working. 
 
Anyone who knew Roy was familiar with his wit, his keen sense of style and his sense of humor.  He was respected and loved by everyone who knew him.
 
Sadly, on January 11, 2018 Roy passed away.  He leaves in mourning: his wife Patrica Carr; two sons, Jamaar and Justin Carr; one daughter, Alexis Carr; one brother, Jackie Carr; seven grandchildren, Justin,   Dejanna, Julissa, Tatiana, Jayden, Tyler and            Christopher; one great-grandson, Ethen; four nieces; two nephews; five brothers-in-law; seven sisters-in-law; two uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
