Biography: Willis Earl Thompson, a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and nephew, went on home to be with the lord Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at the young age of forty one years old in Harlem, New York. He was born to Loretta Thompson and the late Willis Burgeus (August 31st,1978 in the Bronx, New York).
Willis was a thoughtful, caring, loving, cheerful and funny man who was special in his own way. He spent most of his life in Harlem, New York. He attended and also graduated from Stuyvesant High School. Willis worked for Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, while growing up Willis developed a passion for dancing, music, DJ’ing, working out, going to church and fixing electronics. Willis was always the life of the party. He always got you off your feet and made you feel loved. Willis had a special way of helping others see no matter what your challenges or circumstances were, you could over come them, let nothing hold you back and enjoy every minute of life.
Willis leaves behind his mother, Loretta Thompson; grandmother Edith Thompson; stepfather, Nathanial Croskey; sister, Avia Croskey; brothers, Kashiff Croskey and Floyd Polo Thompson Jr.; nephew, Avon Butts and a host of uncles, great aunts and cousins.
