Biography: On July 23, 1974 Karin Serrano was born at Flowers 5th  Avenue Hospital to Mr. Israel & Mrs. Raquel Serrano. Karin was the youngest of four daughters. Karin attended  elementary schools 185 & 208. She went on to Booker T. Washington Junior High School 54, & graduated from Norman Thomas High School with a Honors Diploma. Karin obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration from Metropolitan College.
 
Karin met Raheem Brown, and although they didn’t exchange nuptials two beautiful children came out of that relationship Nia-Ingrid Serrano-Brown, and Nasir Raheem Brown-Serrano. Karin was employed as an operating engineer with Tutor Perrini Building Corp, for the last three years and she was stationed at the Hudson Yards Site.
 
Karin was a very spiritual person, and her belief in a Higher Power is what aided her throughout the years. Karin enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, attending football games, shopping, dining, singing, and dancing. Oh yeah!!!! Karin could hold a note, blow a tune, and we can’t forget her one, two step.
 
Karin Serrano touched the lives of many and she will truly be missed. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving mother; Raquel, 3 sisters: Erika, Stephanie, Ingrid, 3 nieces: Leomina, Leoneesha, Ivory, 3 nephews: Hector, Jordan, Erick, 3 grandnephews: Jamal, Zion, J’hace, and 2 godchildren: Paityn and Paul. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
