Biography: Jonathan was born on December 14th, 1958 with his Fraternal Twin Courtney at St. Johns Hospital in Queens, New York to Carrie Edwards and Norman Stanley. Jonathan grew up side by side with his twin brother. He attended and graduated Hammels Nursery School.
In 1969 the family moved to Harlem, The Lenox Terrace 25 W. 132nd street, New York, New York. Jonathan received his education at New York City Public Schools (PS 175 Henry Highland Garnet Elementary School, IS 70 Junior HS and Louis D Brandeis High School.)
Jonathan was funny, loving, stubborn, active and privileged. As a teenager he enjoyed swimming and horseback riding. In his adult years in 1980 he acquired his TLC (Taxi & Limo) license and was employed as a Yellow Cab Driver.
Jonathan loved his only daughter who was born in 1982. He enjoyed fishing, fine dining, the best threads and shoes, cooking, OTB horse racing, watching old Western Movies and partying with his friends.
Jonathan was preceded in Heaven by: Mother Carrie, Father Norman, Brother Thomas, Grandpa Benjamin, Grandma Lela and Nephew Brandon. Jonathan leaves behind to cherish his memories: his only loving daughter lil Carrie and two grandchildren; Twin Brother Courtney, Older Siblings Benny and Vivian; Nephews: Courtney Jr, Lil Benny and Everett; his best friend Renee; and a host of family, 132nd/133rd Street friends and loved ones.
