Biography: Beverly Davis was born on January 1, 1950 in Charleston South Carolina to Kervy and Mary Brown. She began her education in
Charleston, SC and completed her education in the NYC Public System graduating from Cooper High School in Harlem. She married Freddie Davis at an early age and had two children, Freddie Jr. and Deshan. She worked a few clerical jobs as a Home Health Aide and for the Tremont Day Care Center in the Bronx.
Bev, as she was called, was raised in Greater Bethel AME Church in Harlem. She was baptized at Abundant Life Tabernacle under Apostle Jasper Rolle, Jr. Anytime Bev was around you were guaranteed a good laugh. She was always the life of the party. She was also very loving and caring. Bev gave all she had, even when she didn’t have much to give.
She departed this life on March 12, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kervy and Mary Brown; the love of her life, Freddie Davis, Sr.; Two Brothers: Albert Drayton and Johnny “Duke” Drayton; Niece, Shelly Robinson; Nephew, Gary Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her death: two children; Freddie Jr. and Deshan Davis; three grandchildren: Kadja, Victoria and DeAndre; three sisters: Loretta, Denise and Robin; two brothers: Louie and Kervy; two sister-in-laws: Cathy, Chancy and Gail Davis; two brother-in-laws: Victor Downing and Wayne Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own.
