Biography: Tamel Kareem Jackson-Breland was a loving father, son, grandson, brother,nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He departed this world suddenly on June 21st, 2021 at age 31.
He was born to Thomas Breland and Wakela Jackson on August 14th, 1989, at North Central Hospital Bronx, NY. After graduating high school, Tamel chased his dreams to become a record label owner with his younger brother James Mingo.Together, they eventually formed Young Living Good records.
Tamel loved spending quality time with his most prized possession and greatest accomplishment, his son Nova Jackson. His admiration for his mother Wakela Jackson was noteworthy in every aspect, she was truly his best friend. His excitement for family gatherings is what he looked forward to and cherished the most.
He was best known for his infectious smile that would light up any room, charismatic personality, and his love for seafood. His talkative personality trait would always leave you wanting more because his stories were colorful.
Tamel was preceded in death by his great grandparents Leroy and Adell Jones and bonus father James Mingo.
Tamel is survived by: his son Nova King Jackson; mother and father Wakela Jackson and Thomas Breland; stepfather Gil (Mr) West; Grandparents: Anthony and Barbara Neville and Barbara and Rudy Rowe; brothers: James Mingo and sister-in-law Mia Mingo, JJ and Day Day; sisters: Danielle, Taylor, Taelyn and Erin; Aunts: Monique, Cameisa, Makeba, Atia and Malikah; Uncles: Larron and Timothy; Godparents: Katisha and Clinton Brown and LaShawn and Victor Solomon; nephews: James and Sebastian; best friends: Quintel, Abe (cousins) and Derrick. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, great aunts, uncles and friends.
