A Time to be born...... Octavia Johnson Who was born to Mary Hollingsworth and Willie Hollingsworth arrived into this world Tuesday, November 9, 1967 in New York City.

 

A Time to Live..... Octavia Johnson came into this world as the last child of Mary Hollingsworth and the second of Willie and spent her childhood in Harlem NY.

 

Octavia Johnson attended high school in Manhattan. She loved and always had a great sense of fashion and motherly stern personality. When you saw Octavia you saw impeccable beauty. When you met her, she became your friend with a listening ear and heart. She was both funny and serious and became a mother to all of her children friends in the neighborhood. She loved spending her time with her family. That was the most important thing to her, and her grandchildren were the lights of her life.

 

Octavia had her first son Eric, on November 30,1985 then Travis, on January 9,1988 she nurtured, and loved them while they protected and admired how strong she was.

 

Octavia Johnson then met Carl Joseph in 1991. He was a single parent of a son Carl Jr. They married and had a daughter Ashanti on July 17,1994 They raised the children in Harlem NY under one roof as a happy family until 2008 when they purchased a home in Tannersville PA Though Octavia changed her address with her daughter and husband, she always came back to New York to make sure Eric , Travis and Carl Jr. were ok.

 

A Time to Mourn: Octavia Joseph went home to be with the lord on October 15, 2021. She will be greatly missed.She is now with her loved ones. Her father, and her favorite uncle Henry, rejoicing, laughing, and being her loving self. Fond memories of Octavia will forever be cherished by her loving mother Mary Hollingsworth, Sister Veronica Fortune, Brothers Curtis Johnson and Leon Johnson, sons Eric Johnson,Travis Johnson, Carl Joseph, Daughter Ashanti Johnson, Half-sisters Sharese, Shontae and half-brother Kevin. With 2 nieces, Shanequa Johnson and Apresha Lewis, 2 nephews,10 grandchildren, and many cousins and friends in Albany and New York whom she truly loved. Anyone who may have been omitted please be assured it was accidental and by no means defines your role in her life as unimportant.
