Biography:
Lurline Albertha Rush-Parks, daughter of Clifton Rush and Evelyn Rush was born on December 6, 1947. Lurline
departed this life on the morning of October 26, 2021. Lurline received her formal education in Orangeburg, South Carolina and in New York City, New York.
Lurline later settled in New York City. While living in New York she met and eventually married David Parks on October 1, 1985. Lurline worked in the nursing department at Harlem Hospital until her health no longer allowed her to. Lurline than became a child care provider; caring for family, friends and neighbors.
Lurline enjoyed attending St James Presbyterian Church where she was an active member. Lurline enjoyed watching daytime soap operas, and spending weekends at Atlantic City. She also enjoyed going out to dinner when visiting her children. Lurline loved to talk, joke and laugh when spending time with her children and family.
Lurline was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kelly Rush.
Left to cherish her precious memories are: her husband David Parks, three daughters Trina Rush, Corinne Rush-Williams and
Davina Rush-Gibson. Her four sons Harold Lee Rush, Kelvin Rush, Michael Rush and David Rush Jr; Her two daughters-in-law:
Shaniquia Revels-Rush and Jacqueline Rush; Her two sons-in-law: Danny Williams and Jonathan Gibson; Her sisters: Claire Rush, Pauline Rush and Catherine Rush; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
