Biography: Eric Bartell Moyler, the second son of Denise Marie Moyler and William Talbert, did not enter this world alone but with a twin sister, Erica Wista Moyler, on June 23, 1987, at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. On March 29, 2018, by God’s grace, he did not leave this world alone, but surrounded by his loving family and friends.

One of seven children, Eric’s childhood was filled with fun, laughter, and jokes. Lots of jokes. He was a fearless defender of his siblings; whenever a neighborhood kid threatened any of them, he would come to their defense. Eric attended high school in New York City.

As happens in life, his path often led him away from family, but he always showed up for birthdays, Mother’s Days, and family celebrations. He was a hard worker and entrepreneur, who frequently earned money working alongside his father for a local moving company.

He faced numerous challenges and hardships in his young life, but he dreamed of flipping houses, pursuing music, and earning a certificate in electrical wiring.

His was most proud of his daughter, 11-year old Ariyah, whom he described as “an old head,” and said, “when she saw me, (she) “would run into my arms. Another daughter, Eriyan, died in infancy; Happily, on March 24, 2018, God blessed Eric with a son, Malachi.

In addition to his children, Eric leaves behind his parents, a grandmother, Wista Johnson (Nevada); grandfathers, Champlin H. Moyler and Willie Tolbert; siblings, Shanee “Amour” Talbert, William Anthony Talbert, Evelyn “Eve” Pollard, (North Carolina), Erica “Sakarah” Moyler, Catherine “Cat” Moyler, Damon Moyler, Renelle Quashie and Amanda Black; aunts, Diahann “Peaches” Moyler  Easter Mae Pannell, Betty Ann Robinson, Wilhemina Donald, Jeannette Chaplin, and uncles, Darryl Moyler and Ronnie Singleton (North Carolina), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, (especially Dayvon Moyler) and friends, including best friend, Jonathan Ables. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Evelyn Talbert, and uncle, Damon Anthony Moyler. Let us honor Eric’s memory by living life as he did: fully, joyfully and fearlessly. Eric, we will always love you and miss you.
