Biography:
Vivian S. Patterson was born in Birmingham, AL, on January 28, 1964 to Arlene Patterson. Vivian grew up in Birmingham until she moved to New York and made it her home. Once there, she completed her high school requirements, graduating top in her class from Jane Adam's H.S in the Bronx, NY. Vivian continued her education at Interboro College, where she received her Associates degree. Upon completing her degree, she entered the workforce, working hard and building her career while always helping someone along the way. Soon after, Vivian began creating her family and was blessed with three beautiful daughters. She was a loving, doting, and protective Mom who lived for her girls.
In 1997, Vivian began her career at HRA, working her way up to Sr. Legal Assistant and receiving many awards along the way. But if you knew Vivian, becoming a grandmother was her ultimate happiness, and those boys gave her life and was her everything.
On January 20,2025, God saw fit to call his child home to collect her wings for a job very well done. Vivian is survived by her daughters, Quiana Patterson, Angela Gohoungo, and Khadijah Patterson, her handsome grandsons Elijah Applewhite and Chance McDowell, As well as her sisters Kym Carr, Monique Chislom and Shari Clark and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
