When they were small children Reggie could not pronounce his little sister’s name at first; so, he began to call her sister instead. A nick named that stuck and stayed all of their lives even when he knew how to
pronounce her name Jacqueline but Reggie and their parents and the rest of the family lovingly called his sister Jackie for short.

Reginald Willie Miller worked as a court reporter in the 1970’s and he typed over ninety words a minute. Later in life he wanted to go into business so he began starting different types of businesses from roller skating ventures to Realty investments with different friends.
Later on in life Reggie meet Karlene at the Amsterdam Nursing Home in 2004. Karlene was Mrs. Miller’s CNA – Certified Nurse’s Assistant in the facility. Most days before Karlene’s shift would start she would visit her patients: but this particular day and time Karlene had come to check in on Mrs. Miller. Anytime Karlene would visit Mrs. Miller she would say hey pretty girl. But this day during this time Reggie came in to bring his
mother, Mrs. Miller a sandwich and or a snack as was his norm since he worked in the kitchen at the facility. So when Reggie came in to visit his mother and bring her a sandwich his mom introduced her son Reggie to the woman she always called pretty girl the Certified Nurse’s Assistant. She said Karlene this is my son Reggie and anyone who knows Reggie; knows that he was smiling from ear to ear. But of course it didn’t stop there because he then made it his business to visit with Karlene at different times and say hello.
But in the beginning Reggie was only working part-time then Karlene made a suggestion to him about working there full-time so he could put more money in his pocket and Reggie thought about it and followed through and made it happen; as we know it was history after that. They got married at the Bronx court with the Justice of the peace on (February 16, 2007) then he called his sister Jackie on the phone and said I got something to tell you. So Jackie was intrigued and said to Reggie what is it? Then, Reggie said he would tell her when she came home. Later, Karlene came over to the Reggie’s sister’s house and after she got there Jackie was asking her brother Reggie what’s the story. Then Reggie walked by his sister Jackie bent down and whispered I got married. His Sister Jackie said you could have told me that on the phone.
Reggie, as the family all called him, was a very loving and kind person. He cared about people, especially his family. Reggie was funny but sometimes he was a great story teller. The stories he told were about his life and he kept you engaged whereas whomever was listening would be hanging on to every word. Uncle Reggie was so cool.
