Biography: Betty Cooke was born in Humbolt, Tennessee to the proud parents of Albert Cooke Jr. and Anna O. Sturdivant on January 17, 1953. Betty was the oldest of 3 girls, Carol Crum and Jean Cooke both preceded her to eternal life.
Betty attended Andrew Jackson High School in Jamaica, New York receiving her High School Diploma. On February 18, 1972 she joined the US Navy, after completing basic training she was granted a Honorable Discharge. Upon returning home Betty was introduced to a young man named Noonan (Nick) Campbell, the love of her life. Nick and Betty were married in 1973 and in this union 3 beautiful girls were born Nikthrena G. Wallace (Nikki), Olean L. Scott and Thayer R. Campbell. (Nick predeceased to eternal life April 2000.)
Betty worked in the Healthcare field for many years; her passion was to always take care of others. Betty received many awards and recognition for her outstanding work and care for others.
Betty was a loving, caring, giving, and compassionate woman. Her first priority was the love of God, and her family. She loved spending time with her family especially her baby Naviyd who loved to be with her. She loved music, dancing and her nails had to stay done.
On March 17, 2025 after a long battle with health issues Betty stepped into eternal life to be present with the lord. (She was a fighter!) Left to cherish all the memories of this beautiful woman are her daughter's Nikki Wallace and Thayer Campbell. Her Grandchildren: Karima Campbell, Tisha Campbell, Nikthrena (lil Nikki) Wilson, Tysheim Campbell, Miracle Scott, Niya and Na-Sha Scott. In addition Betty is survived by a host of great great-grandchildren, in-laws and friends.
