Biography: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zephirin Pierre, affectionately known as André, who departed this life on April 1, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on August 26, 1957, to Precieuse Pavilus and Dilavois Pierre in Jacmel, Haiti, André lived a life rooted in hard work, love, and quiet strength.

A talented mechanic and carpenter, André was known for his skilled hands and devoted spirit. Whether working on engines or building with wood and other martials, he brought care, pride, and excellence to his craft.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Hasty, and leaves behind his loving children: daughters Elischeba and Zephanee Pierre, Evelyn Hasty and husband Kanae Joseph. Son, Georges Pierre and wife Angela Pierre all from New York. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Lourde Merilien of Brooklyn, NY. Two brother in-laws Lidell Hasty, wife Roberta Hasty of New York. Edward walker, wife Shawanna walker of New York. Sister-in-law Gwenda Daley of New York. Two grandchildren Khaison and Kameron Hasty-Joseph. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

To his family and all who knew him, André was a source of wisdom, stability, and unwavering love. His kind heart, quiet presence, and steady hands will be dearly missed but forever cherished.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Zephirin “André” Pierre’s spirit and legacy live on in the hearts and memories of those he loved.
