Biography: After suddenly falling ill at New York - Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center, our beloved, Glen Jones returned peacefully home to Glory on June 12, 2025,. He was sixty-nine years old.
Glen was born in Kingston Jamaica on January 15, 1956, to the late Humphry and Lucille Jones. He grew up in Jamaica until he migrated to America in 1971 with his two siblings Michael Jones and Jacqueline Jones, where they began their new lives together as New Yorkers.
Glen attended George Washington High School in Manhattan and upon completion, he attended New York Technical Career Institute. After enrolling into the Technical Institute, Glen was self-employed for many years, and often took interest in listening to and watching podcasts based on his liking for hip-hop culture.
Glen was a gentle individual and a man with a few words. However, he was very cultured and had the uncanny ability to converse with anyone about anything ranging from current events or math - Glen was very gifted in complex math and never relied on a calculator.
Glen surrounded himself with few but very dear friends who shared a friendship with Glen for over forty years. They celebrated holiday gatherings and birthday celebrations and during the summer months, playing Domino was something he and his buddies enjoyed.
Although we mourn his physical presence, we celebrate his life knowing with confidence that his soul was received by our Heavenly Father.
In addition to his parents, Lucille and Humphry Jones, Glen was preceded in death by his brother Michael Jones and Denzel Anderson.
Glen touched many lives and he will be missed deeply. He leaves to mourn his passing, his sister Jacqueline Jones, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
