Biography:
Rose A. Irons, daughter of the late Louise and James Irons, Sr., was born on March 5, 1949, in New York City. As a child she attended Mount Calvary Pentecostal Faith Church at 400 Lenox Avenue where she serviced as a junior usher and was a member of the Bethel-lites. The church then moved to Emanuel Pentecostal Faith Church in the Bronx, and she served as an usher alongside Sister Thelma Lark and her sister the Late Ann Irons.
Rose attended Julia Richman High School. After graduating from high school, she continued her education at Hunter College for nursing. She worked at NYU Langone Medical Center Hospital for thirty-five years. Rose was a survivor of cancer.
Rose dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. She enjoyed listening to gospel music. Rose enjoyed singing, one of her favorite songs that she loved to sing was “Trouble in My Way/Jesus Will Fixed It”. She also loved reading her Bible. Rose was a very strong-minded person, and she was loved by everyone who knew her.
Preceding her in death are her two sisters Ernestine and Ann, and her five brothers, Bobby, Joe, Nathaniel, Junior and John. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Doris of Charleston, South Carolina.
Maria, and Judy of New York City. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Four Godchildren: Crystal, Darmani, Tyrone, and Joesiah. The Emanuel Family. She was dearly loved but God loved her most, she is now safe, no more sickness and resting in the arms of our Master, Jesus Christ.
