Ronald Jenkins, age 80, was born on September 4, 1944, to the late Margaret Jenkins and Leroy Wiley in Charleston, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers-in-law, Thomas Simmons and Waverly W. Green, and his nephew, Keith Grayson.
He is survived by his devoted sisters, Sheila Grayson, who lovingly cared for him and ensured his well-being, Carolyn Green and Elaine Simmons; his brother, Kevin Wiley; as well as his nieces: Shanta (Terrance) Bueford and Tasha Green; nephews, Sean Green, Kwame Grayson, Michael Grayson and Jamiek Simmons; and his aunt, Albertha Middleton. He will also be remembered by great-nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
Ronald grew up in New York, New York where he was educated in the public school system. From a young age, he attended The Church of Ascension, New York. Known for his helpful nature, he was well-liked in the neighborhood and often lent a hand to others. Ronald was passionate about singing and will be remembered for his generosity, strong sense of community and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be dearly missed.
