Biography: Alexander Cromer Jr was born on September 3 1961. Where he got involved in sports but he excelled at basketball. Which he learned to play up until the Jr High School level. For many years he coached mentored boys and girls if they wanted his tutorage at the Bedford Stuyvesant boy & girls club. 

He also loved music and he loved to dance. And he loved the confines of the 5 boroughs of NYC where he traveled to play basketball. Alexander Cromer better known as Yogi was born in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. He attended PS 23 , IS 33 and Alexander Hamilton High School. 

It was during the time in Bedford Stuyvesant that yogi became the father figure of the family due to the departure of Alexander Cromer Sr. He was also the protector of the family. Yogi was very popular and his popularity caught the eye of Angela McCoy and they share two daughters Kenya and Fantasia. Yogi was called home on August 23,2024. Preceding Yogi in his Journey to heaven was father Alexander Cromer Sr , mother Ola Cromer, sisters Francine Cromer (Te Te)Valencia Paulette Cromer and Velma Denise Cromer (Nina) 

He leaves here to cherish daughters Kenya McCoy and Fantasia McCoy both of South Carolina, brother Vincent Earl Cromer Sr (Bebe)of Montgomery Village Maryland, sister Katerah Cromer (Toot) of Marietta GA, and Curtis Devon Cromer of the Bronx NY and special brothers Maurice Cromer and Antione Cromer both of Marietta GA. He leaves the following nieces and nephews Venecia Cromer of Hyattsville MD, Jasmine Stevens of New York NY, Omar Evans of Brooklyn NY, Vanessa Cromer of Baltimore MD, Vincent Earl Cromer Jr of Montgomery Village MD, Waverly Bell of New York NY and Tychelle Cromer of Bronx NY. And a host of aunts, uncles,grandchildren, cousins, family and friends.
