Biography: Jeffery Dean Best was born on December 17th,1959 in Greene County North Carolina to Guilford and Elizabeth Best. Jeffery attended Greene County Elementary School until the age of six. Guilford and Elizabeth decided to relocate their family up North traveling between Norfolk, Virginia, Elizabeth, New Jersey, before finally settling in New York City.

Jeffery attended: PS 113 in Harlem, Wadleigh Jr. High in Harlem and Charles Evans Hughes Vocational High School for Textile Trade located in the Chelsea Section of Manhattan. Upon graduating from high school, Jeffery acquired odd jobs. In the late nineties Jeffery decided to continue his education and enrolled in Monroe college where he earned two Bachelors Degrees in psychology and science. After graduating from Monroe College, Jeffery accepted a job working as a housing specialist for the city of New York. Jeffery loved to paint and play his base guitar.

Jeffery loved life. He was a giving, loving and thoughtful person. He was preceded in death by: His parents Guilford Best and Elizabeth Best, brother Isaiah, sisters: Shirley and Doris. He leaves to cherish his memory: Sisters: Linda and Angela; Brothers Elton and Ray; Sister-in-law Yvette Hamilton Best; Nieces: Mildred, Keisha, Fabu, Beckylesha, Shana and Kayla; Nephews: James, William, Ishmael, Fonzie and Aaron; Great Nieces and Nephews: Shaabazz, Jacquez, Jasmin, JamesMya, Davion, Elijah, Faith, Sincere, Khepra, Khapri, Oceana and Nyanma; as well as a host of loving family members and friends.
