Andrew Ricardo Blint was born to Neville and Jean Blint at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, in March 1972. He was the first born of twin boys with Richard Anthony Blint appearing three hours later. He attended Saint Theresa’s Preparatory Elementary School and Camperdown College before immigrating to New York with his older brother to join his parents and two other siblings in January 1985. He quickly enrolled at John Peter Tetard (JHS 143) in the northwest Bronx, and then went on to complete his high school studies at John F. Kennedy High School.
His talents as a poet and rhetorical specialist were on full display in this environment where he joined the Mock Trial team and Model UN. Upon graduation, he studied at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Andrew returned to the city, and began work in administration at Goldman Sachs, ESPN, and the law firm, Weil, Gotshal, and Manges. He joined literary circles and read work throughout the city. Andrew is survived by his siblings, Rich, Dave, Leonie, and Maxine, as well as his father, Neville, and a heartbroken cohort of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His mother, Jean Blint, preceded him in death.
Gospel Lessons: John 14: 1-6a, 16: 16, 20-22
John 15: 1-6a: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I’m going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.”
John 16: 16, 20-22: “A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again in a little while, you will see me. Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy. When a woman is in labor, she has pain, but because her hour has come. But when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a child into the world. So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”

Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His spirit, washed in His blood!
