Biography: Marchal Ragin was born on August 26, 1953 in Summerton, South Carolina to Tommie and Ethel Mae Ragin. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, New York. Marchal started his career at New York City Parks Department, and then went on to work for DHL.
Affectionately known as “Neal and Mike”, Marchal was hard-working and dedicated to his family. Marchal’s beautiful smile, sense of humor and style, his loving ways, and his infectious laugh are treasures that his loved-ones hold dear to their hearts. Marchal was a caring and warm-hearted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by parents- Tommie and Ethel Mae Ragin, his siblings- Joe Ragin, Christine Ragin-Cole, Jesse Mae Ragin-Jones, Betty Ragin, Thelma Ragin-McCoy, Tommy Ragin, Delma Ragin, Irene Ragin, and Ruth Ragin-White.
To cherish his loving memory, Marchal leaves behind, his brother- General(Jack) Ragin, his two daughters- Keshia Ragin, and Jasmine Bennett, his grandchildren- Kadeem Ragin, Kimberly Washington, Jennifer Washington, and Jacob Francis. He also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who dearly loved him.
