Biography: In our end is our beginning; in our time, Infinity; in our doubt, there is believing; in our life, eternity. In our death, a resurrection, at the last, a victory, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. Collin Baptiste aka “Purple Giant” formerly of Bolans Village, Antigua, but resided in the Bronx, New York.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ionie Slaven; father, Murphy Baptiste; and brothers, Donald Tonge, Cortwright (Ben) Odlum, and Rexford (Attaman) DeSilva. Collin leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Judith Anthony-Baptiste; his daughters, Sheridith (Sheri) Baptiste and Shornalyn Baptiste; and his grandson, Jaden Baptiste. Sisters: Tulip (Nica) Richards, Ulinise (Darkie) George, Sarah Allman-Leacock, Donna Wallace,and adopted sister Doreen Meghie. Brothers: Rudolph Allman, Michael Allman, Clyde Allman, and Kevin Baptiste.

He had many cousins, nieces and nephews. Throughout his life’s journey, he acquired numerous acquaintances, colleagues and friends, who were an integral part of his life but are too numerous to mention.

Collin was an affectionate, dedicated, hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Collin’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered. His passing will be mourned by everyone who knew and loved him. His memory will remain etched in our hearts.

An amazing soul has transitioned to glory. May he continue to rest in the arms of the angels.
