Biography: Quanisha a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was born on October 16, 1989, in Far Rockaway, NY, she was the second daughter to parents Melinda and Reginald. Despite facing numerous health challenges, she brought joy and light to those around her until her passing on November 2, 2024, in Harlem.
Quanisha received her education attending P.S. 092 Mary McLeod Bethune, followed by Bread & Roses Junior High and High School, while attending she was an avid athlete, holding multiple positions including power forward and guard while on the girls basketball team.
Growing up, the “middle” daughter was undoubtedly her sister’s protector. As they navigated the complexities of growing up together, her unwavering support created a strong foundation that not only shaped their individual identities but also deepened their connection. Through every challenge and celebration their bond remained a testament to unconditional love.
Quanisha's vibrant spirit and infectious smile not only illuminated the spaces she occupied but also left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. In a world full of trends, her dimples were always in style.
Her steadfast friendship and positive outlook transformed challenges into opportunities for joy, reminding us of all the beauty in life's simplest moments. In her presence, it was easy to see that true friendship is a rare gem, cherished and never forgotten.
Children loved Quanisha, and she adored them.
Quanisha's unwavering dedication to her sons illuminated her journey through motherhood, transforming life's challenges into cherished moments. She embraced motherhood finding joy in every moment spent with them, whether it was cooking each one their own individual meals or making their favorite dessert. Quanisha constantly tried to instill values of kindness, resilience, and curiosity in her boys, cherishing the laughter and lessons that came with parenting. Each day was a new adventure, fortified by the deep love that bound them together.
She leaves to carry her legacy of two sons Billy D Miles 16 (Pop) and Legend King Hill (8). She is survived by her mother Melinda, Two siblings Kita and Omar. Three nieces Aniyah, Aleighia, Sharmaine, One nephew Karif. Her Children’s father Billy D, Kevion, her special friend Norman and childhood friend Ashley and a multitude of other friends and family.
Quanisha was preceded in death by her father Reginald, three siblings, Fatinma, Rashawn, Damon.
Quanisha’s spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those whose lives she touched, serving as a reminder of the love and resilience she embodied.
