Biography: Denise L. Middleton "Niecy" was born in the Bronx, New York to Father: Earlie Johnson and Mother: Lenore Pickering on March 27th, 1954 and was united with her ancestors on October 25, 2024.
Denise and Luther Middleton (whom preceded her in death) met when they lived in Brooklyn as kids. They were once married and he adopted Nina at the age of 5. Within this marriage Denise gained 10 sisters-in-law and 11 brothers-in-law.
While living in Brooklyn, Denise and Luther not only raised their children, they also raised the community’s children. All the neighborhood kids would come over for breakfast, lunch and or dinner. She never turned any of our friends away from a meal. I must say our Mother and Father were loved and although they had a sense of humor, they were no joke when it came to their family. Denise earned the name Madea, from her baby sis.
Denise worked at Beth Israel Hospital until her retirement. Denise enjoyed cooking for the holidays and LOVED attending family BBQ's, gatherings and Luther Vandross songs.
Denise leaves her legacy to: two daughters and four sons: Nina Wilson, Luther Middleton, Jr., Eric Middleton, Quincy Middleton, Rick Middleton and Qiana Harrison.
