Biography: Robert Days McNeal, affectionally known as “Rob” was born on May 3, 1962 in Harlem New York to the late Willie and Annie McNeal. On August 6, 2025, Rob departed this life to join his beloved parents, his brother Willie, and sister Kecia McNeal in eternal rest.
Rob grew up with a vibrant spirit and deep passion for life. He had an extraordinary love for sports, dancing and fashion. He was best known for his humor, quick wit, and ability to light up any room. Rob had a gift for making people laugh. He always had a joke ready and never hesitated to speak his mind. He valued honesty, loyalty, and above all, the importants of family. Rob made sure his loved ones always knew how much he cared for them.
He graduated high school through Job Corps and went on to build a successful career working in healthcare before retiring from Ford Motors. Throughout his life, Rob found joy in reminiscing with childhood friends from the Bronx and Harlem, many of whom became family to him. He never lost touch with those he cared for, always spreading love, laugher, and a sense of belonging.
Rob leaves behind his children; Robert, Ramel, Ranequa, and Rahquan, who were the pride of his life. He is also survived by his siblings Larry Sr., Tina, Sandy and Anthony Sr. – his lifelong confidants and backbones who shared an unbreakable bond of love and support. He will be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles, including Aunt Lee and Aunt Johnnie, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Larry Jr., Lorena, Lance, Larisha, Anthony (Low), Jovaughn, Alexandria, Jose and Anthony (Julu). His great-nieces and nephews: Isaiah, Madison, Mayson, Malakye, Cody, Skyla, Journey, Saige, and Jeffrey will carry his playful spirit. Rob also leaves behind a host of cousins, close friends, and two Godchildren who loved him deeply.
Rob’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, and laughter. He loved fully, loved openly, and stood firmly for those he cared about. His presence, his voice, and his joy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
