Biography:

Deacon Joseph Robinson was called home Friday, March 6th at the age of 91. He was one of 11 children born to Jannett and Arthur Robinson Sr. on April 21st 1934 in Hopewell, Virginia

Joseph was educated in the Prince George  County Public School System . He received Christ at an early age at Harrison Grove Baptist Church in Prince George Virginia. 

In 1957, Joseph relocated to the Bronx NY where he obtained employment at Empire City Subway, now known as Verizon, as a lineman. He maintained this position for 40 years before retiring in 1997. He met and married his wife Claudine of 65 years in 1960. Two children came of that union, Beverly and Jeffrey. 

Joseph loved his family, loved taking road trips while listening to his Blues music and loved driving, so much so he taught several of his nieces and nephews how to drive. Joseph was always ready to tell a story, especially those about how he worked chopping down pulp wood and riding the mule into town. Joseph would do anything for anybody. Most importantly , Joseph really loved the Lord, he was ordained as Deacon in July of 2004 faithfully serving Goodwill Baptist Church 

Deacon Robinson leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 65 years

Claudine, his children Beverly of the Bronx and Jeffrey of Augusta Georgia, 2 sisters Janette Hector and Virginia Flowers of Hopewell Virginia, 1 brother in law   Charles Brown of Alexandria Virginia, 3 granddaughters, Alyssa of the Bronx, Janette Robinson of Phoenix Arizona and Joi Robinson of Augusta Georgia, 1 great grandson, Adonis Bailey of Augusta Georgia along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
