Janice Marie Taylor, daughter of the late Willie James Taylor, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Taylor, was born September 8th, 1956 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She entered into rest on June 7th, 2018 at New York-Presbyterian The Allen Hospital in Manhattan, New York. She was a member of the Local 1199 SEIU Union and a great worker at Columbia University Dining Services. She attended college at Hostos Community College in Bronx, New York, and was a servant at the United Church of Deliverance in Harlem, New York. Janice  Taylor was truly a phenomenal woman.
 
Janice was loved by everyone who knew her. She touched many lives and hearts. She gave her wisdom to all who were willing to listen and even some who were not. She was always ready, willing, and able to help others and would pray for them with no questions asked. To know Janice was to truly love her. She will be greatly missed.
 
Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory: her ONLY child, Janelle Elizabeth Taylor; Janelle’s father and friend, John B. Adams, Jr.; her brother, Willie James  Taylor, Jr., and sister, Delphine L. Taylor. Janice also leaves behind her legacy with two nephews, Luther     Frazier Smith, Jr. (Rachel) and Nicholas Brown; one niece, Adrian Simone Young (Tyrell); eight great nieces and nephews, five aunts, five uncles, two God daughters, Keisha Harley and Ashley Bianca Brown, and five people of 30 plus years of friendship, Susie Frazier, Janice Brown, Inez Ward,    Elizabeth Williams and Michael Samuels, along with a host of other special sisters,   brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, work family and friends.
