Biography: Sonia Llimo was born in New York City on June 5, 1954 to the late Silas and Gloria Medley. She was the second of four children. Sonia was a lifelong resident of Harlem and attended Brandeis, High school. Upon graduation Sonia completed a number of certifications and was known for her fast typing skills.
She met her first love and husband Frank Llimo at Brandeis High school. They shared a life together for 49 years. She worked as a clerical associate level 3 and retired from Metropolitan Hospital.
Sonia touched many lives and will be missed. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Frank II and two children Fatima (Herbert III) and Frank III. Sonia will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Tyleek, Herbert IV, Tykia, Xavier, Fatima, and Caleb. Her brothers and sister Ronald, Kenneth and Sabrina. A mother-in-law Patricia Llimo and sister-in-law Patrice (Stewart II). Sonia will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Sonia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Incredible Dr. Pol. Her hobbies included, swimming, writing, reading long novels and crocheting. She leaves behind fond memories for all who loved her. Sonia was known for crocheting all of the new born babies in her neighborhood a beautiful blanket to match their stroller. These blankets were filled with love. This is just the type of person she was.
