Biography: Sister Eartha Lue Thomas Dickson was born on September 10, 1936 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina to the late Rose Bell and James Thomas. She migrated to Jersey City, New Jersey where she resided for many years with her family, her late husband Freddie. She retired and returned to South Carolina several years ago.

After moving back to South Carolina Eartha joined and became a faithful and dedicated member of Zion AME Church (Branchville)
Eartha Lue was the ideal wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She had a close relationship with her siblings. She was the matriarch of the family. She loved her family.

Eartha was preceded in death by her parents James and Rosa Bell Thomas, her husband Freddie, five brothers, J.C., Roger, Sam, Adam, and Alvin and two sisters Ray, and Eula. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons Larry Dickson (Annie), Harry Dickson (Maxine), Audis Dickson (Billie Jean) all of Jersey City, New Jersey, one daughter Carrie Sanchez (Tony) of Rowesville, South Carolina, five sisters Ruby Thomas of Hackensack, New Jersey Bernice Thomas of Florence, South Carolina and Betty Thomas of Jersey City, New Jersey, sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a very  special and loyal companion Ron Smith and a host of family and friends.
