Biography: Rachel Hill-Parris was born in Prentiss, Mississippi on July 13, 1943 to parents, Acy White and Mary Jane Burkett (both deceased). Mother Rachel was educated in the Mississippi school system.  She arrived in NYC where she worked as a manager of a fast food restaurant and then she worked for the theater and culture industry until she retired in 2004.

Mother became a member of The First Calvary Baptist Church where she served as choir member and then she became a servant leader.  She also was a member of the Pastor's Aide ministry.

Next, she continued to share her passion for ministry work and joined Great Redeemer where she served as the Mother of the church and the servant leader of the "Aaron and Hur" Ministry.

Mother Rachel departed this life on November 11, 2020.  Although she has left this life, her love for children, love for church people and all people in general, her laughter, her warmth as she loved to hug everyone and anyone and her kindness to those in need will remain in our memories and hearts forever.

Mother Parris leaves to celebrate her life, her older brothers, Willie C. White ( Chicago, ILL) and Knox White (Chicago, ILL) and their children.  Her four children, Lucille Smith(son in law, Ivan), Thomas Perry(daughter in law, Carmen), Michelle Ebron, and Rochelle Perry.  Her seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Tabitha, Vanessa, CJ, Michael, Raven, and Sabrina. Mother Rachel also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
