Biography: Idelle Francine Seabrook (Singleton) 59 years young of New York, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. Idelle was born June 12, 1962 in New York to the late Henry and Dorothy Seabrook.
Idelle was educated in the New York School System. She continued her education at Touro College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
Idelle, affectionately known as “Day Day” was a sweet, kindhearted, strong woman who was very outspoken and believed in speaking her mind. Day Day loved music and dancing, traveling, but her favorite hobby was shopping.
Day Day worked for Upward Inc. a program that served the youth in the community. She ended her courier and retired from New York City Transit.
Idelle was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dorothy Seabrook and her sister Beverly Seabrook.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband Ken Singleton; stepdaughter Gia Dodge and stepson Kamarthy Evans of New York; mother-in-law Bernice L. Singleton of Pineville, South Carolina; two sisters, Jean (Randy) Williamson, Janel (Michael) McDaniel of New York; one brother John Seabrook of New York; four brothers-in-law: Jonathan (Delmarie) Judge of Albany, Georgia, Alphonza (Janet) Judge, Sam (Diane) Singleton of New York and Marlon Singleton of Pineville, South Carolina. Five sisters-in-law: Pastor Barbara (Peter) Ravenell, Mary Dingle, Deloris (Anthony) Broughton of St. Stephen, South Carolina, Doris Myers of Pineville, South Carolina and Queen Reese of New York. One Goddaughter Pria Barrow of New York; two aunts: Charlotte Jefferson and Joyce (James/Scooby) Harris of Washington, D.C.; two Uncles Jimmy Hotlit and Elijah Dow; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
