Biography: Helen Lillian Jenkins was born to the late James O. Jenkins & Helen L. Jenkins Sr. on March 12, 1932, she was called home on March 10, 2018. She was educated in the New York City school system. She held many jobs until she began her employment with New York State Financial Information Services Agency until her retirement in 1997.   Even after her retirement she continued to keep in contact with her coworkers delivering their Avon orders.

Helen began attending Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she gave her life to Christ in 1978.  She has been an active member as President of the Floral Club, participating in the Share Program, (other programs) until she became ill. She would often bring some of her grandchildren to church with her, as she was dedicated to sharing the gospel with them.

Helen was the matriarch of her family. She was devoted to her children and her grandchildren. Not only was her door always open, but there was always food on her table. Helen loved to travel, took pride in her huge thanksgiving dinners, and family gatherings.

Helen was a loving mother to her five children. Three of her children Elaine, Victor & Victoria, preceded her in death. Her grandson Sean also preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her sons Frederick, and Leigh; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grand-children, and two great-great-granddaughters; one sister, Robyn Carmona; one brother-in-law, Kent Carmona; one son-in-law, Robert Ladson; one daughter-in-law, Donna Jenkins; two nieces, Krystal and Cassandra Carmona, along with other relatives and a host of loving friends.
 
She will be missed! Her love, nor her wisdom can be replaced!
