Ingrid Thompson

12-17-1951 - 01-06-2022

Biography:

Ingrid Zenneth Thompson, daughter of the late David and Eloise Daniel, was born in St. Michael Barbados December 17, 1951. She attended Eagle Hall
Primary School, Westbury Junior School, and Richmond Secondary School. She was also a very loyal and faithful member of Bank Hall New Testament Church of God (NTCOG) in Barbados.

Sometime after completing her education, she pursued seamstress work with the late Mrs. Jean Williams of Long Gap, Spooners Hill St. Michael. However, Ingrid had other dreams she wanted to pursue. In 1972, she attended the NTCOG bible school lay worker division course at the River Road New Testament Church of God. It was here at this course that I first met Ingrid.

Upon completing these studies, she later registered to go to the UK to study nursing, she wanted to become a nurse. In 1973, she immigrated to the UK to pursue her goal, a nursing career. Her training was covered by a group of
hospitals namely: Hither Green, Grove Park, and Lewisham hospital. She completed her training in 1976 achieving her certified nursing diploma.

In 1983, Ingrid and I were married in the USA, and this union has produced two beautiful children; the late Glenville Jr. known to many by his second name Mark, and Carolyn Thompson. Ingrid immigrated to the USA permanently in 1985.

During this time, she worshipped at the now closed Eluzai Pentecostal Church on 126th Street between Madison and Fifth Avenues. After that she fellowshipped at other assemblies as was feasible. She was also employed by Isabella Nurses Home until some health challenges where she was forced to retire.

God called Ingrid home on the morning of January 6, 2022 from labor to reward. A very loving, caring, reserved individual was she. Above all things, Ingrid loved the Lord deeply, and even during these challenging times, she maintained her faith in the Lord via alternate measures since physical worship was not possible. A loving mother, wife, devoted Christian, and caring sister, you will forever live within our hearts and memories.

Ingrid leaves to mourn her beloved husband Glenville, daughter Carolyn, brother Hugh White from the UK, and Cuthbert Daniel from Barbados; sister to the late Clebert Daniel, and sister of Norma Alleyne, and Maria (aka Ann) Daniel from Barbados also. Nieces and nephews are Esther Alleyne, Ruth Blackman, Jennifer Obidah, Angela Daniel-Rampersaud; Terry Daniel, Adrian Daniel (deceased), Vernon Alleyne and Ralph Alleyne. Many friends, brothers and sisters in-laws, former coworker/ colleagues, and fellow Christian brothers and sisters. Sleep on and take your rest my dear until we meet again; rest in the loving arms of Jesus.
